How to Make a Reservation

  1. Give us a call (970.406.1397) and we can answer any questions you have.
  2. Decide if you want a morning snowmobile rental 8:00-12:00 or an afternoon snowmobile rental 11:45am-3:45pm.
  3. Decide the number of snowmobiles you need to reserve.
  4. A credit card is required to hold your snowmobile reservation.
  5. We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. Once you are inside this window the reservation is 100% non-refundable.

What you need for the day of your ride:

  1. Come dressed prepared to ride. Dress in layers with your top layer being your snowpants and jacket.
  2. Bring warm gloves. All of our machines have grip warmers!
  3. If you are a passenger you may want to bring hand warmers.
  4. Wear warm boots with wool socks underneath.
  5. We will provide you with a motor-cross style helmet but you will need to bring goggles.
  6. If you don't have any of the above - no worries - we have all the gear you need at our office for an additional rental charge.
  7. Some snowmobilers like to wear a backpack full of extra gear including water bottles and a camera.
  8. You will also need to bring some extra cash. The Forest Service collects a trail use fee at the trailhead. This fee is per person.

At check-in:

  1. You will fill out paperwork, bring your driver's license.
  2. All renters must listen to a safety talk before departure.
  3. Pick a helmet that fits you.
  4. Go over the Vail Pass Recreation area trail map.
  5. Now you are ready to drive 12 miles to the Vail Pass Recreation area trailhead.
  6. Our wranglers will unload the ATV's for you. They will have them warmed up and ready for you to ride through Colorado's Backcountry.
